For my spatial design, I have focused on communicating the value of the process itself, rather than
solely concentrating on the end result. By bringing together the mentioned works in a spatial context, I
aim to inform the viewer about the new possibilities and meanings that the Symbiocene offers. In doing
so, I have deliberately chosen to use natural materials and to reuse materials, emphasising
sustainability and respect for the natural world.
I invite the viewer to enter the space with an open mind and curiosity, encouraging them to explore the
various elements. This creates a dialogue between the viewer, the design, and the message of the
Symbiocene.

At the graduation show at ArtEZ Zwolle, my focus lay on introducing the concept of the Symbiocene
through the presentation of experiments that played a significant role in my research. These experiments
encompassed my ‘Existence of All’ thesis, ‘Artificial Reproduction,’ ‘Organic Typography,’ and a small
booklet containing project information and a summary (see image at the bottom-right).
The spatial context of the presentation was thoughtfully designed to incorporate natural materials, many
of which were sourced from other places to promote reusability. Furthermore, all the artworks were
physically connected using jute wire to visualise their interconnectedness within a network. By bringing
these works together within this spatial context, I extend an invitation to the viewer to enter the
space and explore the various elements with an open mind and curiosity. This fosters a dialogue between
the viewer, the design, and the message of the Symbiocene.
